Scheme Details

The CSVTU Foundation for Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship (CSVTU-FORTE) is a Section-8 Company under the aegis of CSVTU. Its mission is to incubate start-ups whose focus is to impact rural/underserved societal segments, leveraging grass-root level Technologies and Innovations. CSVTU-FORTE will serve as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to run various schemes (utilizing both Govt. Grants and CSR) to develop and promote an ecosystem focused on holistic rural empowerment through promotion of rural based startups.

About the Scheme:

A Pilot Project in organic compost making and organic farming has been started in the premises of CSVTU, Newai, Bhilai Distt.- Durg with the help of CSR fund given by Ms. Insmart Systems Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. The following are the major Objectives of this Pilot Project:

  1. To develop a semi-automated Model for Production of Organic Fertilizers and Pesticides.
  2. To develop a mechanism to standardize the Process and Products with proper Testing Facilities.
  3. To Provide on Job Training and Advanced Training (in Production, Finance & Marketing) to the Unemployed Graduates/ Diploma Holders of CSVTU.
  4. To Provide Paid Internship Opportunity (with Fixed Monthly Stipend and Performance Based Incentives) to the applicants for a Limited Period.
  5. To provide the entrepreneurship opportunities and marketing support to the selected Interns after successful completion of training and satisfactory performance in the evaluation process of business model presentation before the experts.
The hands-on physical training for duration of 4 months will be provided to the selected applicants in the following domains:
  1. Organic Composts and Pesticides making
  2. Organic Farming by renowned experts (including field visits)
  3. Finance and Marketing
  4. Business Model Preparation and Company Formation
  5. Application to various Govt. schemes

All the trainings will be completely free of cost and selected candidates will be provided a stipend of Rs. 7000/ per month for the duration of internship. In addition the interns will be provided a subsidized accommodation on paid basis; they will also be given a Performance Based Incentives for the practical field work and marketing.

After completion of training, the candidates will have to make a Business Model presentation about their entrepreneurial idea before the expert committee. The selected candidates will also be given a seed money of up to Rs. One Lakh to establish their own business/enterprise with Mentoring, Handholding and Marketing support from CSVTU-FORTE for a limited duration (about 2 Years). In lieu of this the candidate has to sign a MoU with CSVTU-FORTE for mutual growth and benefit.
