The CSVTU Foundation for Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship (CSVTU-FORTE) is a Section-8 Company under the aegis of CSVTU. Its mission is to incubate start-ups whose focus is to impact rural/underserved societal segments, leveraging grass-root level Technologies and Innovations. CSVTU-FORTE will serve as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to run various programs of CSVTU Rural Incubation Centre (RIC) to develop and promote an ecosystem focused on holistic rural empowerment through promotion of rural based startups.
The proposed RIC at CSVTU is intended to have its roots far and wide across the entire state of Chhattisgarh. RIC aims to encourage students (both Current and Passed out students of CSVTU affiliated colleges) and general masses through this programme to take an integrated view of the resources available and using them optimally for the all-sided development of the villages. CSVTU will form Rural Entrepreneurship Development Centres (REDCs) at its affiliated institutions where students will be given financial and mentorship support for exploration of innovative and market viable products generated from rural resources. Few start-ups with proven concepts, business model and Technology born out from REDCs will be incubated at RIC, CSVTU Bhilai.
